4 Year Old Program

Four-year-old Kindergarten involves the children participating in a full day structured program which further enhances independence and the ability to make choices whilst still being in a play-based environment. Play and learning experiences become more child-directed with teacher guidance and interaction.

A typical 4-year-old kindergarten day would involve...

Make choices from the choice book of what they would like out from the storeroom are some ideas of what they can do.

  • Yarning Circle where children can bring something to talk about and answer questions from their peers

  • Group time, which varies from music/movement, discussions, stories, games., puppets, parachute, Acknowledgement to Country

  • Children participate in the outdoor program

  • Relaxation time - Yoga, mindfulness, listening to stories, meditation, mindfulness colouring.
