In 2026  we will be offering both 3YO and 4YO free kinder programs.  

For our 3YO program we offer 2 x 7.5 hr days on Mondays and Thursdays from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm.

For our 4YO program we offer 2 x 7.5 hr days on  either Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm.

A very limited number of  places will be available for 3 days (3 x 7.5 hours)  and a fee is payable for the third day.  The current fee is $900 per term and this will be reviewed at our AGM in November 2025.

FROM 2025 THE VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT WILL BE ROLLING OUT PRE-PREP

What is Pre-Prep?

Four-Year-Old Kindergarten is becoming Pre-Prep, starting with 6 local government areas in 2025.  Between 2026 and 2036 four-year-old kindergarten in Victoria will transition to 30 hours per week. Eligible children can access up to 25 hours per week from 2026.  There is no difference between the program offered for Four-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep. Pre-Prep offers children more hours to learn and socialise through play. Pre-Prep will be delivered through standalone (sessional) kindergartens and long day care centres and will also be part of Free Kinder.

Who will be eligible for Pre-Prep from 2026?

From 2026 the following priority groups will be eligible for Pre-Prep at all Victorian Kindergartens:

2026 priority groups:

• children who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

• children from a refugee or asylum seeker background

• children who have had contact with Child Protection or are in out of home care

• children who were supported by Early Start Kindergarten or the Access to Early Learning program for Three-Year-Old Kindergarten.

Pre-Prep hours for 2026 priority groups:

• between 16 and 25 hours per week from 2026

• between 16 and 30 hours from 2028.

Pre-prep for children who do not fit into the above categories will be rolled out over a ten year period.  See the link below for the full roll-out schedule.
